JOB VACANCY: HEAD OF STRENGTH AND CONDITIONING

The Kyrgyz Football Union is seeking a highly qualified and motivated specialist for the position of Head of Strength and Conditioning to work with National Teams and the National Football Academy.

This is a key role in shaping the long-term physical development of players across all levels of elite football in the Kyrgyz Republic.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement evidence-based physical preparation programs for senior and youth National Teams
  • Collaborate with coaches, medical staff, and analysts to ensure a holistic player development model
  • Monitor performance data (GPS, fitness testing, wellness, etc.) and develop individualized plans
  • Lead physical conditioning programs at the National Football Academy
  • Mentor and support national physical coaches within the KFU structure
  • Align all practices with international standards and FIFA Talent Development Scheme principles
  • Participate in injury prevention and rehabilitation planning
  • Support the use of technology and performance analysis tools
  • Deliver educational workshops for local staff and clubs
  • Provide documentation, planning materials, and technical reports as required

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Sports Science, Strength & Conditioning, or a related field
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working in elite football (national teams or professional clubs)
  • Proven work in youth development programs
  • Valid international certification (e.g., NSCA CSCS, ASCA, UKSCA)
  • Proficiency with GPS tracking systems, athlete monitoring software, and testing protocols
  • Strong collaboration and leadership skills
  • Experience in mentoring local staff or capacity-building programs is an asset
  • Fluency in English required; Russian or Kyrgyz is an advantage
