Goals and Objectives
Main goals of Kyrgyz Football Union are:
- to develop, popularize, and promote football in the Kyrgyz Republic (futsal, beach soccer and other types of football);
- to organize and conduct competitions and events in football, futsal, beach soccer and other types of football;
- to prepare athletes – members of Kyrgyz Republic national teams in football, futsal, beach soccer and other types of football;
- to enhance the role of football in the comprehensive and harmonious development of the individuals, strengthen the health of citizens and their healthy lifestyle.
Main objectives of Kyrgyz Football Union are:
- strategic and current management of football (of its all types) in the Kyrgyz Republic;
- constant improvement of the game of football throughout the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic in the light of fair play and its educational, cultural and humanitarian values;
- ensuring compliance with the rules and regulations of KFU by football entities;
- organization of football competitions in all its forms at national level;
- drawing up and approval of sporting regulations and provisions, other norms of behavior of the stakeholders, their adoption and enforcement;
- protection of interests of KFU members and other stakeholders as well as in international organizations;
- respect and avoidance of any infringement of the Statutes, regulations, directives and decisions of FIFA, AFC and KFU as well as the Laws of the Game, and to ensure that these are also respected by its KFU members and other stakeholders;
- preventing all methods or practices which might jeopardize the integrity of matches or competitions, or give rise to abuse of prestige of football in the Kyrgyz Republic;
- exercising control and supervision in the organization and conduction of football matches of all kinds, including friendly matches, which are played under the auspices of KFU on the territory of the Kyrgyz Republic;
- enhancement of positions and authority of the domestic football at the international arena, enhancement and development of international sporting ties with FIFA, AFC and other international football organizations;
- organization and conduction of international competitions in accordance with the relevant Statutes and regulations of FIFA and of AFC;
- improving the system of training of the highly qualified athletes, ensuring successful performance of national and club teams of the Kyrgyz Republic in international competitions;
- ensuring, in accordance with the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic, social protection of the rights and interests of athletes, coaches and other specialists in the field of football, taking care for football veterans;
- development of infrastructure and material and technical base of football;
- creation and development of sports training centers, educational institutions and scientific organizations in the field of football;
- assistance to authorized state authorities and local authorities, public associations in improving the legislation of the Kyrgyz Republic and other regulatory legal acts affecting football;
- representation of interests of domestic football in the international sports and Olympic movement, including at all events held by FIFA and AFC or under their patronage;
- ensuring the integrity and medical cleanliness of football, as well as through consistent compliance and implementation of anti-doping requirements;
- improving the safety and security of sports events in the field of football;
- fighting against all forms of discrimination and violence in football;
- formation of an effective system of information support in the field of football;
- organization of activities aimed at training, re-training, advanced training, certification and sports licensing of coaches, referees, other professionals working in the field of football, and monitoring of their activities.
