AFC Elite Youth Development Program

The elite youth development program is a system for training young players in national associations that are part of the Asian football Confederation.

The Kyrgyz football Union is the second national Association in Central Asia to be approved as a full member of the Program. Previously, the Uzbekistan football Association was included. Three football academies in this country were awarded the status of "two stars". Asylbek Momunov football Academy in Osh, as a base for educating young players, received the status of "One star". This status allows you to distinguish a sports institution from all others in terms of the quality of training, equipment and many other related parameters. According to the AFC status system for football academies, the maximum number of "stars" is 3. In Asia, only the" Aspire " Academy in Qatar has this status.

In order to become a full member of the Program the AFC Commission evaluates national associations according to 20 main criteria: management, planning, organization, staffing, recruitment, Finance, equipment, teams, training, games, player performances, health, fitness, psychology, welfare, education, collaboration, evaluation, rules and results.

A national organization must meet at least the first 11 criteria for full membership in the Program.

Academies, in turn, must meet all the criteria before being awarded "One", "Two" or "Three stars" status under the AFC elite youth development Program.
